Dr. Alexander Boyle was born and raised in Central Florida. He received his undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from the University of South Florida. He earned his medical degree from USF Health Morsani College of Medicine, and by graduating within the top 20% of his class, he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Additionally, Dr. Boyle was selected to the Gold Humanism Honor Society for his compassionate, collaborative, and scientifically excellent care.
Dr. Boyle completed a general surgery internship and urologic surgery residency at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. While in residency, Dr. Boyle trained with experts in urologic oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center. Dr. Boyle also received training in a full range of urological conditions at one of the nation’s best hospitals for urology, Tampa General Hospital. He completed extensive training in penile prosthetics for erectile dysfunction with one of the country’s leaders in penile implant surgery. In addition, he received specialized training in advanced robotics, urologic prosthetics and neuromodulation, urogenital reconstruction, and the latest technologies for benign prostatic hyperplasia.
To care for his patients, Dr. Boyle provides both surgical and non-surgical specialty treatments for urologic concerns. His areas of interest include all facets of general urology, from cancers of the bladder, kidney, and genitourinary organs to male and female incontinence and kidney stones. In addition, Dr. Boyle treats enlarged prostate, low testosterone, male infertility, erectile dysfunction, as well as sexual dysfunction in women.
Dr. Boyle is a compassionate and dedicated surgeon who enjoys making a difference in patients’ lives. He takes a comprehensive approach to personalized patient care, which incorporates today’s most innovative diagnostic, therapeutic, and treatment advances.
Dr. Boyle operates out of the Tampa General Brandon Healthplex, Tampa General Hospital, St Joseph’s Hospital – South, South Bay Hospital, and South Florida Baptist Hospital. He sees patients out of local offices in Brandon and Sun City, FL.
In his spare time, Dr. Boyle enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and playing golf.
