Florida Urology Partners Names Teddi R. Barber as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

Tampa, Fla., (January 30, 2023) –Florida Urology Partners, a nationally recognized urologic specialty consortium which provides world-class comprehensive care and treatment for a wide range of conditions, including highly complex urological and other closely-related cancers, has named Teddi R. Barber, MBA, as its new Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, effective January 9th, 2023.
Barber, who previously led the strategic operations division of the Tampa General Hospital Provider Network, has become known for her innate ability to engineer, and execute highly complex strategic initiatives and who inspires innovative and multi-disciplinary collaboration toward the continuous improvement of healthcare operations and care delivery.
In this new role, Barber will be directly responsible for the continued growth in patient access points across the state of Florida, developing collaborative alignment strategies to further the mission and care-delivery model of the group and to ensure the continued success of the daily operations across the nearly twenty locations throughout the region.

In addition to her leadership with Tampa General Hospital, one of the nation’s highest-ranking hospitals by US News and World Report, and only Level 1 Trauma and comprehensive burn care center in the region, Barber has previously served as Vice President of Healthcare Strategy and Innovation for a nationally recognized and award-winning business advisory and consultancy firm in Tampa, Fla. as well as a member of the corporate management team, overseeing the hospital operations division across three countries, with Shriners Hospitals for Children®, a pediatric specialty health system.

Barber received her master’s degree from the University of South Florida in business administration (M.B.A.) and holds a Bachelor of Science in finance and economics. Barber is a member of the American College of Health Executives.
