Alonso Alvarez, M.D.

Dr. Alvarez is a board-certified Urologist. He received his undergraduate degree, cum laude, from Amherst College and then received his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine. He completed his general surgery internship and urology residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. His interests include minimally invasive surgery for kidney stones, urologic cancers, and enlarged prostate, as well as treatment for female voiding dysfunction. Dr. Alvarez is trained in the use of the da Vinci Surgical System, Interstim sacral nerve modulation, and he performs no-scalpel vasectomies.
