Dr. Ankur Shah, MD, MBA Joins Florida Urology Partners

Tampa, Fla., (September 7, 2023) –Florida Urology Partners, a nationally recognized urologic specialty consortium which provides world-class comprehensive care and treatment for a wide range of conditions, including highly complex urological and other closely-related cancers, has welcomed Ankur Shah, MD, MBA to its practice group.

Shah, who completed post-graduate medical training at the prestigious University of Pennsylvania has joined the St. Petersburg, Fla. office of Florida Urology Partners. In 2022, Shah received the highly regarded award for Outstanding Technical Excellence in Urology Surgery from Penn Medicine, Division of Urology, in addition to the Laparo-Endoscopic Surgeon Award. Other awards and recognitions of note include the David Doran Trager Memorial Award for Excellence in Urology.

Dr. Shah will join Drs. Reid Graves, Nicholas Laryngakis and Adam Oppenheim in the St. Petersburg, Fla. location of Florida Urology Partners and will start seeing patients in mid-September. Areas of specialty across these physicians include minimally invasive and da Vinci Surgical System robotic procedures, genitourinary cancer (kidney, ureteral, bladder, prostate, penile, testicular), kidney stones, erectile dysfunction, overactive bladder, male and female urinary incontinence, interstitial cystitis, and bladder outlet obstruction amongst many other conditions. The group also has advanced training in procedures such as penile prostheses, sacral neuromodulation, artificial urinary sphincters, slings and minimally invasive laser therapy for urinary stones and prostatic enlargement.
